OF SNOW BENEATH SKIN is an ongoing project recounting a particular episode in the life of the artist and her mother, who believed she was the reincarnation of her deceased cousin named Tuyet (meaning: snow in vietnamese).
Using photogrammetry and artificial intelligence, Emeline Courcier attempts to reconstruct her identity with and without the mask of another, but Tuyet's face ends up sticking to her own, like a shadow that accompanies her. Tiger Cage recounts her spiritual beliefs, notably in reincarnation, and stages this strange relationship between two young women who belong to two different time periods and who have marked the artist's mother for life.
