Emeline Courcier (b. 1995, Paris, France) lies at the confluence of the intimate and visual and technological experimentation.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, her transmedia works serve as channels for the reminiscence of her memory.
Inspired by the heritage of her Vietnamese lineage and the colonial history of Southeast Asian territories, she invents herself as a transgenerational archaeologist, transforming troubled oral narratives into dreamlike visuals, somewhere between fiction and documentary, exploring identity, absence, spirituality and history.
